Viewers can finally see the first snippets of one of the most anticipated Polish premieres of next year. The official trailer for DZIKI, directed by Maciej Kawulski – creator of the hit films Akademia Pana Kleksa and Jak zostałem gangsterem– has hit the net. The production, which will take viewers to the dark and majestic Carpathian Mountains of the 17th century, will be released on 2 January 2026.
The trailer not only reveals the spectacular outdoor locations and epic scale of the production, but also reveals more names in the cast. Tomasz Włosok, who plays the main character – a semi-wild warrior raised by nature – is joined by: Leszek Lichota (Znachor, Wataha), Agata Buzek (Niewinne, Iluzja), Zofia Jastrzębska(Kundel, Warszawianka) and the debuting Angelika Włoch. In the trailer, we can see them for the first time in emotional scenes, foreshadowing dramatic clashes and unobvious relationships between the characters.
WILD takes the audience into a world where legend is intertwined with history. The fate of the main character intersects with the brutal mission of an imperial inquisitor, who unleashes a bloody revenge under the pretext of recovering stolen papal insignia. Against the backdrop of the majestic mountains, a duel between two worlds takes place – nature and civilisation, freedom and fanaticism, instinct and power.
This is the first film in the history of Polish cinema to be shot in large format using an ARRI ALEXA 65 mm camera – a tool used by the creators of such world superproductions as Diuna, Oppenheimer and Dunkirk. Bartek Cierlica(Akademia Pana Kleksa, Jak pokochałam gangstera) is responsible for the cinematography.
The premiere of WILD will take place on 2 January 2026, with preview screenings starting as early as December 2025. The trailer can be viewed on YouTube:
