Warsaw hosted the gala premiere of “Our Folks: The Beginning”, directed by Artur Żmijewski, with the filmmakers and invited guests in attendance. The event was attended by, among others, Anna Dymna, Paulina Gałązka, Zbigniew Zamachowski, Mirosław Baka and Janusz Chabior. The film is in cinemas across Poland from today. The gala premiere was attended by the film’s creators, including director Artur Żmijewski and Andrzej Mularczyk, the screenwriter of all four films about Kargul and Pawlak. Numerous cast members also came, among them Anna Dymna, Adam Bobik, Karol Dziuba, Paulina Gałązka, Weronika Humaj, Zbigniew Zamachowski, Mirosław Baka, Adam Ferency, Katarzyna Krzanowska and Janusz Chabior.
– I would like this film to bring the people working on it as much joy as it brought me and the actors who appeared with me in the previous films. Because these are the kind of professional experiences that remain an actor’s joy for a lifetime – said Anna Dymna while still on the film set.
As audience reactions after the first preview screenings show, “Our Folks: The Beginning” has brought enormous joy not only to its makers but to audiences as well. The audience gathered at the local premiere in Kielce rewarded the film and the actors present in the auditorium with a standing ovation. There was no shortage of enthusiasm from the audience at the Warsaw premiere either.
– We did everything in our power to make it simply a moving film, funny at times, frightening at times – you can have a laugh, and perhaps be moved, even shed a tear – says Adam Bobik, who plays Kazimierz Pawlak.
