The first teaser for the film “Our Revolution”, directed by Piotr Domalewski – a moving story inspired by the lives of Grażyna and Jacek Kuroń – has been released online. The film, which combines an emotional love story with the backdrop of the most significant events in Poland’s recent history, is set to hit cinemas on 11 November 2026.

“Our Revolution” tells the story of two people who believed that, together, they could change the world. He – charismatic, uncompromising, ready to sacrifice everything for freedom. She – brave, warm-hearted and incredibly strong. Their flat becomes a meeting place for the democratic opposition, and their daily life a constant balancing act between love, struggle and fear. In the background, events unfold that changed the course of Polish history: workers’ protests, the activities of the Workers’ Defence Committee, repression by the communist authorities and martial law. The lead roles are played by Magdalena Popławska and Arkadiusz Jakubik.

“Our Revolution is, above all, a story of great love – the kind that gives you the strength to survive the hardest moments and not lose faith in other people. At the same time, it is the story of people who are deeply convinced that freedom and dignity are everyone’s right, regardless of the times in which they happen to live. “I believe we are conveying these values in a way that is emotional, relatable and universal to today’s audience,” says Robert Kijak, the film’s producer.

The film’s cinema release is scheduled for 11 November – a date of symbolic significance for Polish history and the story of freedom, which is one of the film’s central themes. The production has been granted the honorary patronage of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and Orlen has become the film’s promotional sponsor. TVN has also joined the list of co-producers.
