“13 Days to Vacation”, a home invasion horror film directed by Bartosz M. Kowalski (produced by Akson Studio), is in the Perspective Competition of the 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. This is the next event on the film’s festival itinerary – already on 21 July it will have its first festival screening as part of the Night Madness section of the 25th BNP Paribas IFF New Horizons, and in early August it will be screened at the Octopus Film Festival genre cinema festival in Gdańsk. It will be released in cinemas across Poland on 8 August.

A Friday night in Poland has never been so bloody. When someone brings a mask and a crossbow to a party instead of crisps, a carefree night turns into a fight for survival. Technology fails – the killer takes control of the security system. Doors lock, windows lock and the house turns into a prison.

How do you survive when you don’t know who’s hunting?

Inspired by a true story, the film is based on a script by Bartosz M. Kowalski, Mirella Zaradkiewicz and Thor Magnusson. It tells the story of a group of teenagers whose innocent party becomes a bloody nightmare – with no way out, no plan B, no outside help. It is a brutal thriller about apparent safety and the violence that lurks just beyond the wall.

The film will be released in cinemas nationwide on 8 August. The film is distributed by NEXT FILM. The producer is Akson Studio.
