Two weddings, one knife in the back and several bottles of vodka later – Tadeusz is back to remind us how the most turbulent family saga in Polish cinema began. The new video, narrated by the character played by Adam Woronowicz, is a summary – full of irony and emotion – of the events of the first two “In-Laws” films. Before the final act of family chaos arrives, remind yourself who started it, who went quiet, and who is speaking up again. “In-Laws 3” – in cinemas from 12 September.

Tadeusz (the character played by Adam Woronowicz) – with his trademark straightforwardness – guides viewers through the most talked-about events in the life of a family that, over the course of two films, went from a failed wedding to an even less successful second wedding and a spectacular break-up.

– After that first wedding of Łukaszek and Weronka that never happened, they split up. And then they got back together. And at that second wedding of Łukaszek and Weronka – which also never happened – a child appeared. And now Wandzia wants to throw a christening for that child. And things have got so tangled up here… Oh, God… – says Tadeusz in the video.

“In-Laws 3” is the third instalment of one of the most-watched comedy series of recent years. The first two films drew hundreds of thousands of viewers to cinemas, became a hit on streaming platforms and in memes, and the characters of Tadeusz, Wanda and Małgorzata have become a permanent part of the language of pop culture.

This time the characters will meet at a christening celebration. But when a silent great-grandfather, a pair of young parents, a therapist, a leftie grandma and Andrzej all find themselves in one room – you just know things are going to happen.

The film is once again directed by Kuba Michalczuk – the maker of the first “In-Laws” – and the screenplay, as in all the instalments, is by Marek Modzelewski. On screen we will see a parade of stars: Izabela Kuna, Adam Woronowicz, Maja Ostaszewska, Marcin Dorociński, Magdalena Popławska, Wojciech Mecwaldowski and Joachim Lamża.

In the third instalment of the hit comedy “In-Laws” we meet the family again, as this time they gather at a quiet resort in the countryside for a christening. Wanda and Tadeusz are organising the celebration, to which they invite Małgorzata together with her friend, psychotherapist Grażyna. Also appearing at the gathering is Małgorzata’s ex-husband Andrzej, who flies in specially from Australia – and this time he is not alone. The atmosphere quickly spirals out of control, and old conflicts and new romances lead to unexpected consequences – this time with the involvement of the local police!

“In-Laws 3” is a film that will show that even a christening can turn into a family battlefield, and that betrayal does not divide as deeply as… a holy sacrament!
