Filming has wrapped on “Too Old for Fairy Tales 3”, directed by Kristoffer Rus. The third instalment of the hit that won the hearts of audiences and critics alike will tackle, among other things, the subject of online hate – it will tell a story about searching for your own voice in a world full of filters, likes and malicious comments. Reuniting on the film set were Maciej Karaś, Amelia Fijałkowska, Patryk Siemek, Karolina Gruszka, Dorota Kolak and Paweł Domagała. “Too Old for Fairy Tales 3” hits cinema screens in March 2026. Today we present the first stills.

“Too Old for Fairy Tales 3” is a wise, funny and moving story about the mistakes that even the best of us make, and about the courage to own up to them.

Waldek has had enough – chaos at home, drama online, and his gaming team is falling apart. In the heat of the moment he does something stupid – he posts a spiteful comment… and unknowingly sets off an avalanche of hate that hits one of the people closest to him – Delfina. Crushed by the weight of his own mistake, Waldi cannot bring himself to admit to Staszek or to his family that it was he who started the chain of hatred. But when the situation begins to threaten Delfina’s safety, the boy knows he must act, and he stands up to fight – not only the haters, but also his own fear. Will Waldek find the courage to admit his guilt? Will he manage to save the friendship? And can a single comment online really destroy someone’s life?

“Too Old for Fairy Tales 3” shows what happens when children try to cope on their own with problems that even adults cannot solve straight away. With humour and tenderness, the film speaks about the contemporary challenges each of us faces – from cyberbullying to difficult family relationships.

– Our main character Waldi will take another step into adulthood, because for the first time in his life he will have to take responsibility for someone who may not even still be his friend. I would like the third film to be about trying to patch up a crumbling friendship built on a shared passion that is fading away. About the fact that entering adulthood, growing up, also means coming to terms with the truth that nothing lasts forever – and that this is okay, as long as we ourselves behave decently – says the film’s director Kristoffer Rus.

“Too Old for Fairy Tales 3” is the continuation of the 2022 hit “Too Old for Fairy Tales”, which triumphed first in cinemas and later on streaming platforms. Returning to the screen are Maciej Karaś, Amelia Fijałkowska, Patryk Siemek, Karolina Gruszka, Dorota Kolak and Paweł Domagała, who joined the cast in the second film.

“Too Old for Fairy Tales 3” is directed by Kristoffer Rus, with a screenplay by Agnieszka Dąbrowska. The producer is Pokromski Studio. Distribution is handled by NEXT FILM. The film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

– Following our audience, this time we touch on the subject of online hate. I hope the film will help children and young people better understand the dangers coming from the internet, and I am convinced that, as always, it will be great entertainment for the whole family. We are going back to our roots, setting the story in the atmosphere of big-city Warsaw and keeping its character full of humour and warmth – says the film’s producer Mikołaj Pokromski.
