Influencers hack the system! The gala premiere of “Graduation Heist”.

On Wednesday 26 February, the gala premiere of “Graduation Heist” took place at Cinema City Bemowo in Warsaw. The event drew a host of stars and crowds of fans of the influencers appearing in the film. Those who did not manage to get premiere invitations began gathering outside the cinema entrance hours before the screening, to accompany their favourite online creators in this extraordinary event, if only for a moment. “Graduation Heist” in cinemas across Poland from 28 February.

The gala premiere was attended by the film’s creators, including director Mikołaj Piszczan, producer Łukasz Wojtyca and cast members: Małgorzata Foremniak, Jacek Koman, Piotr Głowacki, Radosław Krzyżowski, Bartek Laskowski (Świeży), Hania Puchalska (HiHania), Patryk Baran (Mortalcio) Bartek Kubicki, Pola Sieczko, Kinga Banaś, Julita Różalska, Alan Kowalczewski (Posti), Dominik Kwolczak (Kwolczi) and Patryk Lubaś (Qry).

On the red carpet, stars of the cultural world mingled with Poland’s most popular and acclaimed online creators. The guests included Tomasz Kot, Maria Sadowska, Wojtek Łozowski, Wersow, Friz, Julia Żugaj, Jan Dąbrowski and the Minister of Education, Barbara Nowacka, who has granted the film her honorary patronage.

What is the film “Graduation Heist” about?

Kapsel is a final-year high-school party animal who cares far more about his tight-knit group of friends than about his school-leaving exams. When it dawns on him that finishing high school also means the break-up of his crew, he decides to derail everyone’s university plans and give them one more year of carefree fun together. To save his friends from the hardships of entering adulthood, he plans to hack into the Ministry of Education’s innovative IT system and change the exam results. For this audacious operation he recruits a group of students with the slimmest chances of passing their finals and… his long-unseen grandfather, a man full of questionable life wisdom. Will Kapsel’s brilliant plan succeed? Will the boy manage to change the course of events and keep his friends by his side?

“Graduation Heist” is a gripping story about first important choices, friendship and readiness for change, featuring Poland’s top influencers. Funny and smart cinema for teenagers, combining an important message with quality entertainment. A production made with great panache, about the young and for the young, with daring action in the background.

The film was directed and conceived by Mikołaj Piszczan, the screenwriter is Łukasz Zdanowski, and production is handled by Laniakea Pictures, Ekipa Holding and Watchout Studio. Distribution in Poland is handled by NEXT FILM.

From its release day, 28 February, “Graduation Heist” will be available with audio description. It can be used via the Audiomovie and Kino Dostępne apps.
