“The Peasants”, directed by DK Welchman and Hugh Welchman, has been nominated for the 2023 Empik Bestseller award in the Polish Cinema category. The winners of the 2023 Empik Bestsellers and Discoveries, as well as the Creators of the Year, will be announced during a live gala on 13 February 2024.
The Empik Bestseller nominees are not merely the most popular releases of the past year. These are the artists who moved, delighted and inspired in 2023 – through words, sound and images. Empik customers voted in this biggest cultural poll all year round – this is their verdict. They chose the nominees for the 2023 film Empik Bestsellers by buying films on physical media in Empik stores and online, and by watching them at Multikino cinemas throughout the year.
The award gala can be followed on TVN and streamed on Empik’s YouTube and Facebook channels. Performers at the gala will include Daria Zawiałow, Kortez, Kwiat Jabłoni, Nosowska, AVI, Brodka, Kacperczyk, Kaśka Sochacka, Julia Wieniawa and Dawid Tyszkowski.
