The fifth instalment of the cult “Kogel Mogel” series hits cinemas on 26 January. How are the characters who won audiences’ hearts getting on? Marlena and Piotr Wolański (Katarzyna Skrzynecka and Maciej Zakościelny) lead a fairy-tale life – rich, in love, happy. And now in a beautiful new residence – a historic manor house – with mummy at their side. Yet two things are missing from their perfect home: a portrait of a suitable ancestor and… the laughter of a child. Marlenka handles the first problem with ease, procuring noble roots for the family almost on the spot. The second task, however, proves rather more difficult…
Agnieszka and Marcin (Aleksandra Hamkało and Nikodem Rozbicki), meanwhile, begin their life together unaware that a test of maturity awaits them. When Agnieszka becomes pregnant, she has to shelve her plans for an academic career and simply become a mum… And that turns out to be much harder than defending a doctorate and fighting for a postdoctoral degree put together. Zawada, a brand-new dad, cannot cope at all and suddenly… disappears from home.
The Wolańskis (Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska and Zdzisław Wardejn) are a harmonious, loving couple – but only for so long! When a crisis erupts in Agnieszka and Marcin’s relationship, their parents start quarrelling too. And in the finale they end up on opposite sides of the family barricade.
“Never trust a man – he’s a sweet dipped in poison” – that is the motto Honorata, Marlenka’s mummy (Dorota Stalińska), has followed for years… and it still holds true! She is as flamboyant as a bird of paradise, while her latest beau – Leopold – seems “as common as a crow” next to his wife. But Leopold’s past hides a certain secret…
