The time has come for one of the hottest releases of the year, featuring the cream of Polish artists! IGO, Kaśka Sochacka, Mrozu, Artur Rojek, Brodka, Ralph Kaminski, Bedoes 2115 and Sokół, in collaboration with Hotel Torino, have created an energetic, catchy and surprising version of the legendary song “Witajcie w naszej bajce” (“Welcome to Our Fairy Tale”). “Całkiem Nowa Bajka” (“A Brand New Fairy Tale”) is the second single heralding the soundtrack album for the first part of the “Kleks Academy” trilogy, which opens in cinemas across Poland on 5 January.
“This is a sentimental journey. I watched all the Kleks films. Importantly, I also had the soundtrack on vinyl, so I listened to all those now-legendary songs on a turntable. I’m also on the soundtrack of the new Kleks. For me this is something brilliant, especially as we have gathered truly outstanding artists here,” says Mrozu. Artur Rojek is of a similar mind – for him, the project is a great adventure: “I can see that I’m taking part in something prepared with great care, with plenty of imagination, quality and great guests.” IGO didn’t hesitate for even a second after receiving the invitation to the project. “It’s a legendary film, a story, our heritage,” he says.
The single is accompanied by a special video featuring all the artists and… Piotr Fronczewski, who created the unforgettable role of Ambroży Kleks 40 years ago!
This release is also important for its social dimension. All proceeds from the distribution of “Całkiem Nowa Bajka” will be donated to the beneficiaries of the One Day Foundation.
In addition, Kleks Academy Live kicks off in February! The spectacular Musical School of Imagination will take place in the biggest arenas in Poland (in Łódź, Wrocław, Poznań, Warsaw, the Tricity, Katowice and Kraków). Kleks Academy Live – the Musical School of Imagination is a generous helping of fun and education for the whole family, staged as a spectacular show. Tomasz Kot plays Ambroży Kleks, and Antonina Litwiniak plays Ada Niezgódka. Piotr Fronczewski also appears in the film as the mysterious Doctor.
The screenplay was penned by Krzysztof Gureczny and Agnieszka Kruk. “Kleks Academy” is directed by Maciej Kawulski. The film is produced by Open Mind Production and distributed by NEXT FILM.
