Last Wednesday saw the gala premiere of the film “Doppelgänger. The Double”. The latest film directed by Jan Holoubek (“25 lat niewinności. Sprawa Tomka Komendy”, “Rojst”, “Wielka woda”) received 6 awards at the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. “Doppelgänger. The Double” opens in cinemas this Friday, 29 September.
From the most important festival in the Polish film industry, the thriller produced by TVN Warner Bros. Discovery returned with awards for Best Director (Jan Holoubek), Best Supporting Actor (Tomasz Schuchardt), Best Cinematography (Bartłomiej Kaczmarek), Best Costume Design (Weronika Orlińska), Best Production Design (Marek Warszewski) and the Radio Gdańsk Award for sound effects.

The Warsaw premiere of the film was attended by the filmmakers, including its main stars – Jakub Gierszał and Tomasz Schuchardt – as well as the international cast: Emily Kusche, Jessica McIntyre, Joachim Raaf, Maximilien Seweryn and Pierre Azema.
The film is produced by TVN Warner Bros. Discovery and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
