Warsaw’s Muranów cinema hosted the gala premiere of “Skołowani”, a positively romantic comedy, attended by the filmmakers and invited guests. From Friday 14 April, the film directed by Jan Macierewicz can be seen in cinemas all over Poland.
The event was attended by the makers of “Skołowani”, including Agnieszka Grochowska, Michał Czernecki, Marianna Zydek, Gabriela Muskała, Marcin Perchuć and Bartłomiej Kotschedoff. Also present on the red carpet were: Joanna Kulig, Patrycja Markowska, Ania Karwan, Aleksandra Szwed and Vienio. The premiere was hosted by Agnieszka Woźniak-Starak. The event was also graced by the exhibition “Pełnosprawni w miłości” (“Fully Able in Love”) in the cinema foyer — a photographic series by the Avalon Foundation.
What is “Skołowani” about?
Maks is an incorrigible womaniser and a notorious liar. When Anna, a young and attractive woman, takes him for a disabled man, Maks digs himself deeper into the lie, counting on another easy conquest. But Anna has a different plan — she introduces him to her older sister Julia, who uses a wheelchair. Unexpectedly, something more begins to grow between the cynical Maks and the energetic Julia, but… a lie as the foundation of a relationship? Does this love stand a chance?
Alongside Agnieszka Grochowska and Michał Czernecki in the lead roles, “Skołowani” also features Marianna Zydek, Gabriela Muskała, Marcin Perchuć, Bartłomiej Kotschedoff, Jerzy Bończak, Maria Pakulnis, Mikołaj Grabowski and Krzysztof Materna.
“Skołowani” is Jan Macierewicz’s directorial debut. The screenplay was written by Agata K. Koschmieder, the film was produced by ATM Grupa, and NEXT FILM is handling distribution. The film’s social patron is the Avalon Foundation, which works on behalf of people with disabilities and the chronically ill, operating as a non-profit non-governmental organisation with public benefit status.
