Final exams passed, summer holidays, the beach, the party of a lifetime and… THIS. We present the teaser campaign spot announcing “Apokawixa”, directed by Xawery Żuławski. The film, produced by TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, opens in cinemas on 7 October.
Sometimes a hangover is not the worst thing that can happen to you…
“Apokawixa” is the story of a group of high-school graduates who – tired of successive lockdowns – decide to throw the “party of a lifetime” at the seaside. Despite alarmingly high levels of cyanobacteria in the Baltic and cases of strange infections, everything goes normally at first – beach, dancing, sex, drinking, romantic highs and heartbreaks. Minute by minute, however, things begin to spiral out of control…
The film features promising actors of the young generation: Mikołaj Kubacki, Waleria Gorobets, Natalia Pitry, Alicja Wieniawa-Narkiewicz, Mariusz Urbaniec, Aleksander Kaleta, Mikołaj Matczak, Marta Stalmierska, Monika Mikołajczak and Oskar Wojciechowski. They are joined by, among others, Sebastian Fabijański, Tomasz Kot, Cezary Pazura and Matylda Damięcka.
“It came from the water”
– The destruction at the party will be caused not only by the abuse of alcohol and drugs and by the sheer scale of the event, which – obviously – will get out of hand. It will lead to a disaster of an ecological nature – says the film’s director, Xawery Żuławski.
As part of the teaser campaign, the film will be promoted at summer music festivals – Audioriver, Olsztyn Green Festival, Białystok New Pop Festival and RE: Rzeszów Festival (meet-ups, competitions, special events).
