“Eggnog 4” is taking cinemas by storm! The film, on general release since last Friday, has already been seen by 290,602 viewers. That is the best opening for a Polish production since the start of the pandemic.

– I think that “Eggnog 4” is a good proposition for us – worn out as we are by constant restrictions, worry about our loved ones and economic problems – and I have a feeling it will prove popular, said Ilona Łepkowska, the film’s screenwriter and co-producer, before the premiere. She was not mistaken – after the preview screenings and the first weekend in cinemas across Poland, it is already clear that no Polish release has enjoyed such success during the pandemic as “Eggnog 4”. The previous instalment in the series, “Eggnog 3”, was seen by more than 2.4 million viewers.

What is the fourth instalment of the cult series about? Agnieszka and Marcin’s love is blossoming, and so is Kasia and Professor Wolański’s. Grandma Solska now dreams of nothing but her only grandson’s wedding… But the path to young Zawada’s happiness is blocked by his former lover, Bożenka. Wolańska decides to change her life radically and disappears in mysterious circumstances. Piotruś and Marlenka’s peace is shattered by an unexpected visit from mummy from across the ocean… And certain highly compromising photographs trigger an avalanche of events. A true end of the world is on its way!
