The gala premiere of “Autumn Girl” took place in Warsaw with stars in attendance. We present photos from the event. The film goes on general release on 19 November, but preview screenings across Poland begin a week earlier.

The premiere was attended by numerous guests and members of the cast, including Maria Dębska, Leszek Lichota, Krzysztof Zalewski, Katarzyna Obidzińska, Katia Paliwoda and Bartłomiej Kotschedoff. The official part of the evening was hosted by Grażyna Torbicka.

The star of the evening was, of course, Maria Dębska, who received the Best Actress Award of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for her role. She is also among the young actors of exceptional individuality nominated for the Zbigniew Cybulski Award.

“Autumn Girl” is promoted by the song “Nie będzie romansu” performed by Krzysztof Zalewski and Maria Dębska.

“Nie będzie romansu” is a bonus track on the album “Bo we mnie jest seks”, featuring Kalina Jędrusik’s songs performed by Maria. The album will be promoted with concerts in Poland’s biggest cities. Ticket sales link: https://goingapp.pl/polecamy/bo-we-mnie-jest-seks

Tickets are also available at EMPIK stores across Poland.

ABOUT THE FILM

Warsaw, the 1960s. Millions of Poles sit down in front of black-and-white television sets.

And suddenly someone catches their eye. It is Kalina Jędrusik (Maria Dębska) – a phenomenal actress and singer who brings colour into a drab reality. She tempts with charm and sex appeal. She electrifies the gentlemen and scandalises the ladies. Here she is: the first sex bomb of the Polish People’s Republic and the Polish Marilyn Monroe.

Kalina refuses to conform to the era’s model of womanhood. She lives by her own rules, which does not always sit well with a prudish society and some influential figures in power. Numerous scandals, life in a love triangle with her husband Stanisław Dygat (Leszek Lichota) and Lucek (Krzysztof Zalewski), controversial statements and outfits oozing sex appeal also earn Kalina the title of the chief scandal-maker of the Polish People’s Republic. And yet the biggest scandal involving her is only about to begin…

“Autumn Girl” portrays an important chapter in the life of Kalina Jędrusik, who can confidently be called the greatest icon of Polish pop culture. It is a story of the lights and shadows, the highs and lows of her dizzying career. The events of Jędrusik’s life play out in an atmosphere of wild fun among the social elite of the day.

On screen we will also see other colourful figures of Polish culture: Kazimierz Kutz (Borys Szyc), Tadeusz Konwicki (Paweł Tomaszewski) and the creators of Kabaret Starszych Panów – Jeremi Przybora (Rafał Rutkowski) and Jerzy Wasowski (Dariusz Basiński).
