Kuba Michalczuk’s “In-Laws” has won hearts far beyond Poland – the film has just received the Audience Award at the Vancouver film festival. The comedy about the animosities of an almost-family is entertaining audiences across the ocean and – as ever – in Polish cinemas.
At the just-concluded 40th Vancouver International Film Festival, “In-Laws” received the Vancouver Contemporary World Cinema Audience Award.
Festival audiences are not the only ones who have had the chance to see the film abroad. The title has reached screens in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, the USA, Canada and Australia.
The comedy has already drawn nearly 400,000 viewers to Polish cinemas.
