Igo on the film “Black Sheep”:

– The film “Black Sheep” tackles a very interesting subject: the family relationships we deal with every day. The situations that happen in this film could happen to any family, so I highly recommend that you see it and judge for yourselves.

“Black Sheep” is a bittersweet story about a modern family in which everyone has had enough of something. When the crises, conflicts and desires suppressed for years finally explode, everyone starts living on their own terms. Or at least that’s what they think… Will the family members find their happiness? It is a film about bonds that cannot be broken. In a funny way, it answers important questions about family relationships and growing into change.

Aleksander Pietrzak, director:

The film touches on several themes, such as the choice between career and family, growing into fatherhood, trying to find your feet in a completely new life situation, but above all, I think, this film is about how a child creates a bond forever. The two most beautiful emotions are laughter and tears. That is what a comedy drama can give us, and that – I hope – is what “Black Sheep” will give us.

Anna Waśniewska-Gill, producer:

It is a universal story about the road to maturity in which each of us can find ourselves. In a funny way, it shows generational differences, problems arising from a lack of communication, and the fear of showing one’s true feelings. We were interested in showing the truth about family and the various moments in the life of a small community. Funny, sometimes sad and frightening. After the difficult experience we have shared over the past year, we know that everyone is now hungry for positive emotions, and those will certainly be delivered by Alek Pietrzak’s film “Black Sheep”.

Igor Walaszek – known by the stage name Igo. He comes from Kraków, where in 2009 he founded the rock band Clock Machine with a group of friends. Despite his rock leanings, he does not confine himself to that genre, and since 2015 he has formed the electronic duo Bass Astral x Igo with Kuba Tracz. With these bands he has recorded six albums to date, his discography closing with the Clock Machine album “Prognozy”, released in March 2019. In 2019, Igor became a member of Orkiestra Męskiego Grania, alongside Katarzyna Nosowska, Krzysztof Zalewski and Organek. A year later he joined its line-up again, this time with Daria Zawiałow and Błażej Król. In August this year, the third Bass Astral x Igo album, “Satellite”, will see the light of day. At the same time, Igo is working on his first solo album. He has performed at festivals such as Open’er Festival, Krakow Live Festival, Przystanek Woodstock, OFF Festival and Audioriver. He has collaborated with artists including Sokół, Miuosh and Sistars.
