How would your in-laws get along in a tight spot? When the masks come off and what we really think comes to light? That is exactly the confrontation Maja Ostaszewska, Marcin Dorociński, Izabela Kuna and Adam Woronowicz will show in the comedy “In-Laws”. A called-off wedding, an unsettled reception bill, emotions and alcohol make an explosive mix. Today we present the first stills and the poster for “In-Laws”.

“In-Laws” is a wild story about what can happen when tempers fray.

Is a wedding reception after a called-off wedding a recipe for disaster? Absolutely. And what a disaster! The two families differ in everything – background, status, the contents of their wallets, taste. The parents of the groom (Maja Ostaszewska, Marcin Dorociński) and of the bride (Izabela Kuna, Adam Woronowicz) are initially in shock. What happened? Whose fault is it? What about the reception? Should they greet the guests? Play the music? Pour the vodka? Who will cut the cake? One word leads to another, and polite smiles turn into a public airing of dirty laundry. Until finally a real bombshell drops… Meanwhile, the reception spins into a wild party. And nobody minds the absence of the bride and groom.

– What drew me to “In-Laws” was Marek Modzelewski’s brilliant screenplay, the wonderful cast, director Kuba Michalczuk, cinematographer Michał Englert and the crew – a dream team – says Izabela Kuna. – A Polish wedding – whether in a big city or in the countryside – is a tradition that nobody has ever beaten. At the end, the same songs always play, someone slaps someone in the face, someone falls out of love with someone or dances for the first time in their life. Someone always loses their head – she adds.

Adam Woronowicz stresses: – It is certainly a film about us. I think it captures the moment when certain things open up inside us and we speak our minds. And that happens at every latitude.
