The gala premiere of “Triple Trouble 2” took place in Warsaw with the filmmakers and invited guests in attendance. The event was attended by, among others, Zbigniew Zamachowski, Marta Malikowska, Pola Król, Mia Goti, Jakub Janota-Bzowski and Sandra Korzeniak, as well as the artists whose songs can be heard in the film – Marcin Maciejczak, Kwiat Jabłoni and Natalia Przybysz. “Triple Trouble 2”, the sequel to the biggest hit of Polish family cinema in recent decades, arrives in cinemas this Friday, 25 September. Before the Warsaw premiere, screenings were held in Poznań and Olsztyn. There was no shortage of enthusiastic reviews. “The best Polish film of this autumn was shot in Poznań!”, writes Marek S. Bochniarz for kultura.poznan.pl.

The book “Klątwa Lucyny, czyli Tarapaty 2” – a madcap crime novel for the whole family by Marta Karwowska and Katarzyna Rygiel, with illustrations by Marta Ruszkowska – is already available in bookshops. The novel is also available as an audiobook, read by Piotr Głowacki.

About the film
When the pearl of the collection – Claude Monet’s “Beach in Pourville” – disappears from the National Museum in Poznań, and Julka’s aunt is falsely accused of the theft, the children must find the painting and uncover the identity of the real thief. The well-matched duo launch an investigation, but then Felka, a madcap 12-year-old, appears on the horizon – and trouble along with her. A story of jealousy and trust interweaves with the solving of a criminal mystery. “Triple Trouble 2” is a tale for the whole family about how you cannot believe in a friend until you believe in yourself. And about how a friendship put to the test can grow even stronger.
“Triple Trouble 2” is once again directed by Marta Karwowska, with cinematography by Jakub Burakiewicz, for whom it is his feature-length fiction debut. The film is produced by Koi Studio, headed by Agnieszka Dziedzic; the executive producer and co-producer is Tomek Morawski of Haka Films. Production design is by Jędrek Kowalski and Maria Dziewanowska-Kowalska, and editing by Aleksandra Gowin.
The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The co-producers are the Mazovia and Warsaw Film Fund, the Podkarpackie Film Commission, Piramida Film, DI Factory, Next Film, the Poznań Local Tourist Organisation and the Warmia-Masuria Film Fund. MAKonLine Insurance insures the production and is a co-financing partner. The film was shot in Poznań, Warsaw, in Warmia and in the Podkarpackie region.
