The filming of “EGGNOG 3” has wrapped. The latest instalment in the adventures of characters known from the previous two cult comedies, “EGGNOG” and “What a mess, EGGNOG 2”, will premiere in cinemas on the 25th of January. Stills from the film.
‘As I’ve said many times before, I’d rather be associated with sex than with geriatrics and the character I play “sort of” shares my opinion – she has “accepted and approved” it’ says Ewa Kasprzyk who plays Mrs Wolańska for the third time. In “EGGNOG 3” the associate professor’s wife is now a sex coach and a celebrity.
This film event of the beginning of the new year brings us further adventures of Kasia and the eccentric Wolański family as well as other characters of the cult “Kogel-mogel” film franchise. Ewa Kasprzyk is accompanied by other excellent stars, many of whom are known from the prequels: Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska, Zdzisław Wardejn, Katarzyna Łaniewska, Jerzy Rogala, Wiktor Zborowski, Paweł Nowisz, as well as Aleksandra Hamkało, Nikodem Rozbicki, Maciej Zakościelny, Katarzyna Skrzynecka, Anna Mucha, Małgorzata Rożniatowska, Joanna Jarmołowicz, Wojciech Solarz, Mayu Gralińska-Sakai, Mikołaj Roznerski, Michalina Sosna and Jakub Kucner.
In “EGGNOG 3” the main protagonist, Kasia (Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska) still lives in the village of Brzózki and still fights off her unwanted suitor, Staszek Kolasa. Her son Marcin (Nikodem Rozbicki) unexpectedly comes back to Poland and trouble finds him right away. The young man comes up with an idea for an unusual business enterprise… Subsequently, the Wolański family face a sudden crisis. Mrs Wolańska (Ewa Kaskprzyk), a famous sex coach and a celebrity, publishes a controversial book. Her husband (Zdzisłąw Wardejn) and daughter Agnieszka (Aleksandra Hamakało) decide to rebelliously run away from home. They agree to visit Piotruś (Maciej Zakościelny) who lives a comfortable life with his wife Marlena (Katarzyna Skrzynecka) first. After that they embark on a journey into the unknown which will lead to yet another unforgettable finale!
Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska first played Kasia over 30 years ago. Audiences still remember her in that part. In this instalment, Kasia has a grown-up son and this time it is he who is the source of family troubles that are bound to amuse the audience. ‘”EGGNOG 3” draws upon the previous instalments thanks Ilona Łepkowska who penned the fabulous script, and to director Kordian Piwowarski who made sure the film was visibly linked up with both “EGGNOG” and “What a mess, EGGNOG 2”’, says the actress.
Film’s director Kordian Piwowarski was aware that he had some great shoes to fill: ‘It’s no secret that we’re all beyond thrilled to be making this film. This is an incredibly interesting challenge for me, especially since I was barely ten when the first instalments were being made. To work with such actors is an honour. We’ll do everything in our power to make “EGGNOG 3” fulfil the expectations of viewers’.
